The Islands and the Whales is a documentary by Scottish filmmaker, Mike Day. The film follows the life of fishing communities on the Faroe Islands, an isolated Nordic archipelago. Today, villagers face threats due to pressures like climate change, animal rights activism, declining wildlife populations and mercury in their food chain. Film Contributor, Milos Stehlik of Facets Multimedia, sits down with Day to discuss his film.
